Water & Sewer Designer (Sydney) Ref: IG.B006

An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Water & Sewer Designer to join my Client’s Sydney Office.

The ideal candidate will have 5 + years experience in potable and recycled water and sewer design to Sydney Water standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake water & wastewater analysis, modelling and design, prepare specifications, and prepare contract documentation.
• Coordinate and prepare designs and documentation for engineering projects
• Liaise with Sydney Water, local Councils and other authorities in respect to the preparation of designs and approval process
• Ensure company and client deadlines, commitments and expectations are met
• Follow procedures and instructions in performance of design tasks or as instructed by the Project Manager.
• Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgement in anticipating and solving design issues.
• Analyse, develop and provide professional advice and recommendations on the design elements of complex water infrastructure proposals.

Projects the successful candidate will be involved in:
• Working on the biggest land development projects in Sydney; and a range of infrastructure related projects within the South West regions

Selection Criteria:
• Minimum 5+ years design experience in Potable Water, Recycled Water and Sewer Design
• Formal Qualifications / Diploma (Civil Engineering/Survey)
• Clear understanding of Sydney Water Standards
• Skilled and experienced in Sydney Water processes
• Some experience in designs of Roads & Drainage would be highly advantageous
• Strong design capability and demonstrated ‘eye for detail’
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have full working rights within Australia, those requiring sponsorship need not apply.
