Intermediate Hydrogeologist
As part of our hydrogeological force, you will work within a project team, providing technical input to a wide variety of hydrogeological and hydrological projects, including water resources investigations, mining hydrology, hydroecology and environmental impact assessment. The Staff Engineer position requires a sound knowledge of civil engineering, hydrology, hydraulics and modeling with the ability to apply theoretical techniques in a practical way.
Responsibilities include:

The Staff Engineer position requires a sound knowledge of civil engineering, hydrology, hydraulics and modeling with the ability to apply theoretical techniques in a practical way.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake data collection and field work including the supervision of contractors.
- Carry out data analysis and interpretation both using standard and computer techniques.
- Prepare reports and assist with presentations to clients.
- Provide technical and operational support to project managers.
- Provide assistance with the implementation and management of a multi-user computer network.
- Provide software and computer system support to other staff as needed.
- Assist in the general operation and organization of the company as required.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have most or all of the following qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of water related issues of mining
- Ability to work in a team environment, working with deadlines and budgets
- Fluent English with capability in Spanish
- Proficiency in the use of word processors, spreadsheets and databases on microcomputers.
- Modeling experience of surface and/or groundwater systems and computer programming experience are desirable.
