Project Manager- Hydrogeologist
Based in our office of San Pedro Garza Garcia (West Monterey), you will be leading a wide variety of hydrogeological and hydrological projects, including water resources investigations, mining hydrology, hydroecology and environmental impact assessment. You will be working with experienced professionals as well as with junior staff in multidisciplinary teams that often include team members located in other SWS offices. You should have the flexibility and desire to undertake occasional international travel and assignments as well as provide regular on-site support.
Responsibilities include:
- Directing and training junior staff
- Providing technical supervision of undergoing projects
- Ensuring the quality of the work
- Project planning and coordination including budgets, scheduling, and supervision of subcontracted personnel
- Produce cost estimates, proposals, and reports
- Interact with clients, regulators, and subcontractors
- Good first degree in Earth Sciences or related subject with MSc in hydrogeology or water resources engineering
- At least 10 years experience with a minimum of 5 years experience managing hydrological and/or hydrogeological project for the mining industry
- Broad experience in hydrogeology and hydrochemistry related to mining, environmental engineering and groundwater resources characterization
- Good written and communication skills
- Strong skills in directing junior staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong team building skills
- Fluent Spanish and English. Spanish as a native language is a major plus.
- International experience desired
